Terms and Conditions
Please see the below Terms and Conditions, which apply to the use of this website (https://wegoguatemala.com) and the services of Guatemala Tour Company, LLC (hereinto referred to as “We Go Guatemala” or “we” or “us”).
Quotes
Although we take great care when creating the quotes, they are subject to change for operational reasons and/or to change the final itinerary, including the order of activities or a specific route to take.
If you reduce the number of travelers in your group after we issue our final quote, you may see an increase in the cost per traveler.
We operate under a confidentiality agreement with our suppliers. Therefore, we cannot disclose any information about the individual costs that make up the total quote for client bookings.
Contracts
We Go Guatemala has only entered into a binding contract with a client after we have issued them a booking confirmation. The invoice is only issued after our company has received the total payment due per the quote provided with the final itinerary.
Insurance
We Go Guatemala requires that all customers purchase medical insurance and trip cancellation insurance before beginning their trip. Each member of the group must have their own policy.
Furthermore, if you must cancel your trip with We Go Guatemala, cancelation insurance may be the only form of reimbursement to which you are entitled.
International Flights
We Go Guatemala does not sell international airline tickets.
As such, we will not accept any responsibility for any errors or mistakes a traveler makes regarding their flight plans or those made by another third-party.
Each traveler is completely responsible for booking their own flights. They are also responsible for providing We Go Guatemala with accurate information about their flights.
If your flight is late or you miss your flight altogether, We Go Guatemala will not make special flight arrangements for you – under any circumstances. Making necessary adjustments to travel plans is the sole responsibility of the traveler and will need to be made with the airline in question directly.
When possible, we will help customers find hotels and transportation in Guatemala in the event that they miss their outbound flights.
Baggage
All baggage and personal effects are the responsibility of their owner. On international flights, some weight restrictions may apply to baggage. Travelers are responsible for preparing accordingly. We recommend that you check with your airline beforehand to find out what restrictions apply regarding both domestic and international flights.
Passports and Visas
In order to enter Guatemala, you must provide a valid passport that is at least six months away from expiring.
At the time you book with We Go Guatemala, you will be asked to send us a scanned color copy of the passports of each member of your group via email. You will not be booked and will not receive a booking confirmation until this is done.

By booking a reservation with We Go Guatemala, you are consenting to allow your image to be used in promotional photographs and videos.
If you do not wish to have your image featured in promotional photographs and videos for We Go Guatemala, you must identify yourself to your travel program escort before the commencement of your tour.
Registration and Payment
At the time you book your tour with We Go Guatemala, a deposit that covers 30% of the quote is required.
We accept payments from credit cards and wire transfers for these deposits. The balance must be paid 90 days before departure. If you make your reservation within 90 days of departure, we must have your entire payment upfront at the time of confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
Cancelling a confirmed reservation will incur an administrative fee of $350.00 per person. However, additional fees may be levied by the purveyors of any services associated with your trip. If your tour’s itinerary included domestic airline tickets, receiving a refund may be impossible.
If you cancel at least 90 days before your departure date, you will receive a full refund, less the aforementioned $350 administrative fee.
If you cancel between 60 and 89 days before your departure date, you will be charged 30% of the total cost of your entire trip.
If you cancel between 30 and 59 days before your departure date, you will be charged 50% of the total cost of your entire trip.
If you don’t cancel before 30 days, you will be charged for the total cost of your entire program.
We Go Guatemala does not refund any money for travelers who do not show up. We also do not offer refunds for anyone who cancels during the course of their tour.
You may not request any type of reimbursement for meals you did not take, unused sightseeing trips, or any missed services.
Cancellations will only be accepted if they are made in writing by the individual who made the actual payment.
We Go Guatemala reserves the right to change our cancellation policy during December, January, Holy Week, and Easter – for example, in the event that our suppliers apply additional penalties aside from those cited above.
Transfer Your Booking
We Go Guatemala will allow you to transfer your participation in a tour to someone else as long as the reason has to do with a personal illness, close family member’s serious illness, jury duty, unavoidable work commitment, or redundancy.
However, the new traveler must participate during the same dates mentioned in the original contract. In order to transfer your booking, you must send us the request to do so in writing 30 days before your departure. You must include full details about the person to whom you are transferring your booking, as well.
Either you or the transferee must pay any balance due before We Go Guatemala will authorize the transfer. The transfer must also meet every condition of the tour, excursion, or package originally booked.
A transfer may also incur additional charges.
Domestic airlines used for the tour will not accommodate transfers or provide reimbursements.
Alterations You Make
We Go Guatemala will always do everything possible to make any alterations you request after your booking confirmation has been issued, provided you consent to pay for any increased costs associated with this change.
Alterations We Make
We Go Guatemala reserves the right to alter the itinerary in order to provide our clients with the best possible experience relative to conditions. We Go Guatemala will not be held responsible for cancellations or delays for reasons beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, severe storms, etc.).
Occasionally, it is necessary for us to make changes to tours because of schedule changes, flight cancellations, or “force majeure”, a legal term that describes unusual and/or unforeseeable circumstances over which we have no control and the consequences of which We Go Guatemala and/or our suppliers cannot avoid. Examples of this phenomenon include the threat of war, war, civil strife, riots, industrial disputes, terrorist activities, fire, natural or nuclear disasters, or adverse weather conditions.
Such changes may involve changes to the price of your trip, as well.
We Go Guatemala reserves the right to alter the price of your tour to cover tariffs, taxes, or increased costs. Although we will make every effort to keep prices at the same rate we quoted, alterations after the final itinerary is issued are sometimes unavoidable.
Cancellation or Substitution Initiated by We Go Guatemala
We Go Guatemala reserves the right to cancel any program, tour, or package because of insufficient enrollment numbers if that would make it economically infeasible for us. We may also cancel any program, tour, or package if we are concerned about the health, safety, or welfare of our guests or staff.
In the event that We Go Guatemala cancels a tour, package, or program, our liability is limited with respect to a full refund. We will not be held liable for any losses you incur or refunds related to any delays, disappointments, inconveniences, or expenses whatsoever.
If we have to interrupt or cancel a tour in progress, our liability is limited only to refunding what we can from the unused portion of the trip.
The final itinerary may vary based on availability and any other factors we cannot control. We may also substitute services of similar quality for any cited in the itinerary.
Liability
We Go Guatemala will not be held responsible for any accidents that occur during the trip, illnesses, robbery, or any aforementioned causes that are out of our control.
Risks
All travelers must be in good health and capable of participating in all of the physical activities involved. If you have any doubts, you must inform us when we give you a quote, so that we’re able to consider your ability to participate.
Behavior
If you wish to participate in a small group tour, you are required to follow the instructions of the group leader regarding any matters related to the group’s safety. Your tour leader may require any participant to withdraw from a tour if they deem it necessary for the safety or wellbeing of that person and/or the other members of the group or for the sake of the other participants’ enjoyment.
